The Beatles Dominasi Daftar Album Terbaik Inggris

Kapanlagi.com - Grup band legendaris, The Beatles mendominasi daftar The Greatest British Album hasil polling dari perusahaan penjualan rekaman terbesar dari Inggris, HMV. Polling ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui album apa saja yang sangat berpengaruh dan masih diperdengarkan hingga saat ini.

Meski tak menempati peringkat pertama yang diduduki oleh Iron Maiden dengan The Number of The Beast, namun The Beatles memasukkan 4 albumnya dalam top 10 daftar tersebut. Dari hasil polling tercatat Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club di posisi 3, Abbey Road di posisi 4, Revolver di posisi 6 dan White Album di posisi 10.

Di daftar ini ada 5 album The Beatles yang terpilih, namun sayangnya album Rubber Soul berada di posisi 12. Sementara itu di posisi kedua ditempati oleh Depeche Mode dengan album Violator, sedangkan album epik dari Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of The Moon menepati posisi kelima dan Queen dengan A Night At The Opera di posisi ketujuh.

Di 10 besar ini ternyata tak hanya dikuasai oleh musisi lama saja. Oasis dengan (What's The Story) Morning Glory? berada di posisi delapan. Sedangkan pendatang baru Adele berhasil menempatkan di posisi delapan dengan album 21.
